ENGINE
The engine’s 90-degree crankshaft and ignition timing provide perfect primary balance for superb traction at all speeds while delivering a pleasant, rumbling exhaust note. Low-friction resin-coated pistons and SCEM-coated cylinders help deliver improved mileage for class-leading touring range. The Engine Control Module (ECM) provides state-of-the-art engine management and has enhanced settings to suit the updated intake and exhaust systems, resulting in better fuel economy and linear throttle response.
CHASSIS
The strong and lightweight aluminum twin-spar frame and sub-frame have integrated mount points for optional accessory Suzuki V-Strom luggage that is easy to mount or remove and keep the motorcycle trim for daily use, but ready for touring in seconds. Spring-preload-adjustable 43mm front forks and link-type rear suspension are combined with a rebound damping adjustment and an accessible hand-operated spring preload adjuster.
ELECTRICAL
LCD readouts include an odometer, dual tripmeter, traction control modes, gear position, coolant and ambient air temperature, fuel consumption, fuel gauge, and a clock. Switching between readings can be done with the left handlebar switch.
